Cool, Tim! I got your PM also and sent one back. Welcome to the site and I sure do remember you! I had some problems with some details of the way GenEdge was run and left rather than cause any more fuss. Ended up here.

I occasionally take month or more vacations from posting to reset my head, lol. Sometimes I think I'll NEVER be back -- but I always am.

when you installed this did you have any instructions?

the reason i am asking is because with the ee they specifically tell you to be carfull and not to damage the 'sock" (filter looking thing) otherwise it would cause problems.

are you still having a hard time starting? if you can get pictures of the pump, i want to take a look at it, it sucks i dont live closer, id help you get her runnin in no time :D
