Tach stuck on 6k and timing prob
90' 2.9L
I was checking compression and redoing the timing and somewhere along the lines the tach wire must have been bumped. Anyone know where the tach wire runs/hooks up? Is there a fuse just for that?
While I'm at it, the 2.9 says to set it at 10 degrees for the timing, but when I set it there its way off, feels like the brakes on when I'm accelerating, but not reved up, shifting short cause it doesn't want to go faster in the previous gear. I changed the timing up for now to where it runs straight, but is there something I don't know when doing the timing. I'm just hooking up to the #1 cylinder wire and having at it, am I missing something here?
Thanks for the help guys...
