K&N Air intake kit

I have an 03 with the 3.0 V6 with only 26k. I am wondering if it is cost effective upgrade from the stock air intake to the cool air K&N kit. I can get one on ebay for about $225.00. Will I gain significant MPG?
I hear the HP is a noticeable differance but I'm not unhappy with the performance as it is.
But who does'nt like extra HP? GGGGRRRRRR
Anyway feedback is welcome............Thanks...........Andre

Agree there are much better ways to spend you money. The cold air kit for your truck is not going to do much of anything for you but make you alittle poorer.

Get some pullies, or get a good coil pack and some performance plugs and wires and you'll see some more HP's.

As for MPG use better gas and keep things clean is what my boss always says.

Haha Yes! You can make your own cold air intake with tubes and brackets from your local hardware store and gain just a much if not more horsepower than most aftermarket intakes. It's kind of like hood scoops.. Unless they are 10"s tall they probably are doing sh**
