Hey ranger dudes,

Im on these forums daily, post alot in other threads where I know what I'm talking about, this not being that case. Complete noob when it comes to engine besides replacing spark plugs or changing air filter. So here's my ordeal... Driving lastnight and as I was on my way home I noticed my gas pedal was very touchy, I could barely tap the pedal and I felt as if I was in a Fast car not slow truck. I noticed my rpm was staying consistently at 3k and looked stuck, the sounds the truck was making at this time was as if I had a manual and had it red lining in 2nd gear. It was like a high pitch buzzing sound, can't really explain it other than this. So if you could give some suggestions on maybe what could be wrong before I bring it to a mechanic shop and have the chances of getting ripped off or just not knowing what I'm talking about. A side not I did drive the truck around the neighborhood after this happened and it was fine but I still done feel like it's gonefor good.

Bump.. Maybe someone can narrow it Dow. To like a teeny issue spark plug problem or just narrow it down so j can diagnose this
