The 3.Slow? More like my 2.9 extreme slow
i got a little, tiny, dinky, end of a toothpick sized 2.9 liter v6, i decided to put the pedal to the floor today, and it barely did 76MPH, my friends 96 f250 powerstroke turbo diesel will hit about 115-120, but my truck does wicked burnouts whereas his truck "jumps" because of the extreme torque it puts out, anyways, i thought my truck wouild at least do 90-95, but its fooled me, the pedal wouldnt go any farther, i think i will have to find a few light upgrades to do to it.
It is slow as hell!, i like speed too, not friggin granny driving.

my truck accelerates real quick until 5th grear at 65mph, then it takes about 2-3 mins to get to 75/76mph, i will have to test again next weekend, when i see my buddy again, we gotta get some stuff accomplished at his house with the 3wheeler and the sled, but i got to mid way between 75/76, and then it was time to begin slowing down for a damn stop sign on a road in the sticks, nothing around there, but they got a stop sign, and with my luck, id get nailed by some random cop or somethin. i will test it out next time and see if we can update this post with some improvements. by the way, my truck goes sideways real nicely, do you think a K&N filter would help, also, we cut my muffler pipe and all off about 6 inches behind the cat, anmd we just did straight pipe to the passenger side of the truck, it doesnt sound like a ***** 2.9L v6, it sounds like a throaty hot rod v8, it was my friends idea, we were gonna put the cherrybomb muffler on but decided it sounded better.

i accelerate faster w/o a muffler, gonna clean the cat before summer hits, im gonna do some better spark plugs in it, do the k&n cone filter mod, upgrade my xlt grill to a stx grill from the 91/92 yrs, and possibly regaer, but i think that might **** with my 4wheel drive, so it will prolly stay, might buy a locker, still thinkin, wont be anything expensive, im gonna try to stay cheap, but improve the performance while not loosing much economy, if any, i bought the truck about 700 miles ago, at just ove 93,000, that was december, then it sat in the driveway for a while till i got some tools to finnish fixing the water pump, i took the belt off to the a/c pump, that gave me a bit of power, and it was enough that i could feel the power increase, any suggestions on what else i could do, hopefully not too expensive, id like to have a bit of cash for at college, and the ladies, hehe
