Wire plug location

I hope one of you Guys out there can help me with this problem. I changed the water pump on my 2000 3.0l. Ranger xlt. I started it up, let it run to check fluids ect. Drove it up over a snowbank to get it into the yard. Next day it wouldn't start. Turns over fine. Acts like no fuel, but the problem I think is, I found a 3 set of wires with a female plug hanging down by front drive side. No idea where it goes. Looked everywhere. The holes in plug are round, not flat. I'll try to attach a picture. Any help would be appreciated.
