welp i got a check engine light on the way home from work today... not sure what it is yet but it was running pretty rough and was making a knocking noise from the area of the transmission i doubt i will have time to get the codes read till this weekend... anyway im pretty bummed about it

 

i just got the codes read... P0306 #6 Cylinder misfire detected... looks like its time for new plugs/wires

 

Plugs, wire or injector.
Pull the plug and check its condition and color. Is it wet or dry?

 

i dunno yet... im gonna pull them this weekend... im hoping they are dry

 

Let me khow how it went. My light just came on, how much is it to go get the code read? I have no idea what it could be eveything looks good and runs fine.

well i pulled the plugs when i got home from work this evening... they were very worn out... i also ordered a new set of wires along with a screamin demon coil pack from Wayne (underdogpreformance) tonight so it should be running great when i get those in

i know i just did a full tune up on my truck and my check engine light went away then it came back on like 2 days later.

 

almost 90k

 

Yesterday my CEL came on out of the blue and the truck idled like crap and ran like crap. I used my OBDII reader and P0306 came out. That explains the rough barky idle. Cylinder 6 misfire.

My plugs were last changed Feb. 12, 2004 w/ 95,778 km's (59,513 Miles)

4 years and 11,6000 km's (72,079 Miles) later.....I guess the plugs are in need of a change......I'll need new wires too, I never changed those, so they could very well be the originals.

Currently have 212,000 km's (131,730 miles) on the 2001.

I'll let you know what I find.
