truck shut off, wont start, NEED HELP!!

truck shut off, wont start, NEED HELP!!

well, i went muddin with a few guy for my first time, pics will be up later. anywaz, that was friday. the front of my truck took a nose dive is about 3 feet of water. it shut off and still wont start.

i got the battery checked, it died and bought a new one.
i got the started check 5 times and its good and working.

i need help, what could it be? nobody can figure it out. i try starting and it just goes "CLUNK". the engine is not locked either cuz you can turn it by hand.

PLEASE HELP ME... no one can figure out whats wrong.

did you drain oil and cylinders? water in cyls wont let it crank

there is a good chance your motor is hyrdo-locked....search for that on the site and you'll see what everyone else has done when they encounter the same issue.

Hydro-locking would really suck! Time for a v8. Good luck.

Check under the dash on the passenger side. there should be a lond and round cylinder with a large red button on it. Press and Hold for about 25 to 30 seconds. it should crank immediately. when ur truck dove nose first into the water the fuel safty cuttoff switch was triggered. It could be going bad cause mine done the exact same thing running 75 MPH on interstate. it would crank and clunk but never would start.

kinda old thread. the problem is now fixed and she runs good. it wasnt the switch though cuz i did try it....

5 gallons of water went into the motor and it wouldnt start. if you want to know more, read my other thread
