Truck Not Running on all cylinders......i think

ok so this morning i jumped in my truck to run to the store and once i came to my first stop everything stated vibrating really bad, almost like the truck wanted to stall out but it didnt, once i started to move it was like the truck just wasnt there but once i got up to speed and went into OD everything seemed to be fine, in park its not too noticeable but is somewhat, any ideas on where to start??? i was thinking plugs and wires but i just changed them about 5000 miles ago with motorcraft, i just installed the intake on my truck but i dont think thats whats causing it.......any suggestions on what else to check????

check the plugs......you may also not have the correct part # plugs......or you could have a dead plug....i had 1 in mine after about 6,000 miles.....

start there and then check your fuel system...

check your fuel pressure with a gauge.....can't tell ya how, but if you have a repair manual, it will tell you in that......also, take the fuel filter off the front line and have someone turn the ignition to the on position, there should be fuel that comes out of the filter.....that is how you check the filter...

You said you just installed an intake? Did you happen to touch the MAF while you were doing it, or reconnect everything well? Maybe get some electrical cleaner and clean the MAF.. could have gotten dirty while you were swapping intakes.

My 2000 3.0 flex-fuel is doing the exact same thing. I replaced the plugs, the pack tests fine, all that's left is my injector. I've already done one and this would be number two (different cylinders) so, it could be your injector as well. Test it for electrical continuity and then test it to be sure it's working mechanically. Hope this helps, I'm in the same boat...

For those following this, it was my injector that went bad...again. Where I am it's a dealer only part and they are around $90 (after tax, etc.) If you want to do it yourself, it's fairly simple to do with a Haynes or a Chilton manual. I used one for both and it went a lot easier. Especially if it's on the driver's side underneath the intake manifold. I recommend a manual if you are going to attempt doing an injector. There are torque specs that you need for the fuel rail so a torque wrench is needed as well & if it's under your intake manifold, you need to torque that one as well. Hope this helps everyone
