Valve Covers

I went to the shop yesterday to get a transmission maintence and with in seconds they came back and said this a list of things leaking on your truck. And that they could fix it for more than I would ever pay. Some of them were stupid too, oil pan bolt, i ask them to tighten it, what do ya know, it stopped leaking. Then there were the valve covers, I told them its a ford and every ford Ive ever had leaked.

So my question is. Anyone here replace their valve covers yet? Any suggestions to make it easier. I plan on doing it maybe not this pay check but probably next.

replace the cover??? you shouldnt have to replace the cover unless its broken or warped, it my just need a new gasket, it should be pretty straight forward, if you dont already know how to do it, go pick up a haynes manual at your local autostore, it should walk you thought it
