general concesus is that it's a waste compared to a SCT Xcal2 or 3 from Rogue Performance.

I had one in a 1990 Ranger and I didn't notice any change.

I have had the Jet Module on my 99 and my 03. I use the XCal2 now, it's definitely worth the extra money for the XCal.

It's a "canned" tune, and while it wakes the motor up a little, it's basically worthless compared to an XCal with custom tunes. I had a Jet tuner that I originally bought for the speed limiter removal, and I ended up selling it on ebay for less than I paid for it.

Well i picked one up and i love it its better than having nothing and i picked mine up for only $75, your really only going to see good porfermance out of it in the sohc. the ohv only makes good down-low torgue and kinda loses it at higher rpms...

My experience exactly. The Jet will raise the red-line a bit and advance the timing at WOT conditions only. Under normal conditions you won't be able to tell anything.

that and it requires the use of premium fuel so fuel costs go through the roof. i can chosse what octane fuel to use with the X-Cal

I bought and installed one on my truck a while ago. I didn't really notice the difference. But the XCAL is the best. Noticable difference.

you get maximum performance with high octane but i never run it, if you can find a used one get the jet chip, if not its not really worth 300.
