2.5 to 4.0 swap wiring

Hey guys, I just bought a 1998 mazda b2500 from a buddy of mine who swapped in a 4.0 pushrod motor from a 1993 explorer. I'm having some trouble connecting the 2 harnesses together and getting everything to work.. Has anybody done this swap? Does anybody have a diagram that could possibly help me out? Anything will help! Thanks!

Well you will have some trouble.

Your best bet will be to get 1998 Ranger EVTM and a 1993 Ranger EVTM

EVTM = electric vacuum troubleshooting manual
These are shop manuals used by Dealer mechanics, very detailed

The 2.5l to 4.0l isn't the issue.
The electrics changed quite a bit in those 5 years

What might be easier is to get a 1998 4.0l computer and change MAF sensor to 1998 model, most of the other sensors on the '93 4.0l should be the same but connector might be different

If it is an automatic then you would also need 1998 automatic, for 4.0l
