2006 FX4 Quarter mile time?
I had an 06 4.0 Mustang that I traded in for my 2006 FX4 L2. I swear it feels the truck is almost as fast as the Mustang was...
does anyone have any quarter mile times for the 4.0 Ranger, preferably one with an FX4 package, or 4.10 gears?
The Mustang could do about 15 flat, probably more If i pushed her..
And yes, I realize it's a truck and not meant for speed! It's just nice having some power.

www.stuffforyourranger.com He's a supporting vendor here. Excellent guy to deal with.
On that day my shift points were a little low. But.. it really won't improve ETs according to my car test software. Trap speed would have been a little higher though. Honestly.. the track that day was very sticky and my ET's won't be any better w/o loosing weight and/or adding power. Even launching in 4x4 slowed my 60ft. I doubt the next time I go out I'll be able to get those 60fts. Shoot.. I was PB'ing to 2500 and in the vid you can see it was barely spinning at all. There is no way I could do that on the street.
She'll be in the 14s this year.

I've taken it once:
16.6 @ 84mph with a 2.8 60'. The DA was in excess of 5800' all day.
v6 ponies were running 16.8s and higher that day
One of these days I'll go out with my mustang tires and see if I can 60' better. The truck has the mph for a high 15 run even with a poor DA. Just have to work on the 60'.
4x4, 4.10s, 4.0L v6, 30" tall tires -- as stock as stock can be.

thats the exact same time ive run in my truck, and i know you need a lot to pic up the slack of the stock 4.0 in the ranger.

even though i dont want to turn this into a toyota vs. ford post, i'll still fulfill the request.
since B already posted one, here is the other from that night. Both this run, and the one B posted, were against an 05+ mustang gt.
Ive got to find my other stack of slips thats got the third one. But ive got plenty of slips. Lots of 14.7s/8s/9s as well, all with similar traps.
