If you do on 4.0's, it's a pain sometimes.
If you decide to try it, what you need to do is make the little "floor" at the base of the sensor tunnel as thin as possible, and feather the leading edge of it down to a "knife edge" of sorts. This solved the problem ones I did have.
It appears at higher flow that the leading edge creates turbulence or an air dam effect that reduces the reading. Streamlining that cut edge solved the problem of lean operation at high throttle with the two problem units I worked on that were SOHC 4.0's.
With the edge feathered, the long term fuel trim stayed within limits is what I'm saying. We watched it with my scanner. Prior to the streamlining of that edge it was going way lean (and trying to add fuel but unable to add enough) at high throttle while being fine at idle and part throttle.
Both users reported power gains, for what that's worth.

shane? bling factor? what? hells nah.
The throttle body mod i am talking about.......pull off your intake tube, and turn your throttle to pull open, the mod basically cleans up the the "fatness" of the throttle "plate" or whatever.
I did search, couldnt find anything! lol......i have no clue where i got that info from. haha. Trevor, stop on by and i'll show ya on my extra intake.
