K&N NEEDS A 2001-2003 SOHC (so cal)

I just talked to Bert at K&N, he said they have the 2001-2003 sohc 77 series ready, but need a vehicle to do the final testing/fitting on.

if you are in southern california (near riverside) and would like to loan your truck to k and n for appx. 3 days (if you are over 21 a rental is provided).... call Bert @ 951-826-4000 extention 1288. Tell him Alon sent you.

As a thank you for using your truck, you will be getting a free 77 series once it is in production which will be 2-3 weeks.

The sooner we get him a truck, the faster the kits go into production.

mods such as exhaust, tires are fine.... must have a stock intake(if you need one i can let you borrow mine)

if you have any questions let me know.

I don't know why companies even exist in California. Not so flexible taxes which are usually higher, insane land values, power outages, general congestion of people, and oh yeah, earthquakes.

no power outages what are u talking about, and the worst one is the myth about cali falling into the ocean after an earthquake. HALF the earthquakes i sleep through and the other half are so small they are not felt. CALI ROCKS MY SOCKS!!!!

by the way whats the deal with intakes for the 04 4.0 SOHC's im tired of this lame "airbox mod", im getting impatient and ready to cut a huge hole into the bottom sides of the box

well Mnemonic, California rocks... other than that, we havent had a power outage for a looooooooong time and as far as the earthquakes........ afi_pilot85 is right, most are too small to be felt and the rest i sleep through.

the 04 intakes will be worked on sometime in the near future. i wasnt given a real date or anything, but he told me once the 01-03s are done he will see. i'll call him on monday and try to find out more

California sucks. No one speaks English here, you pay 300K for a small house in a crappy neighborhood, utilities cost more than the house payment, fuel prices are through the roof and yet people still only see earthquakes as a problem for us.

lol.. AMEN Greg! Those are the EXACT reason I hate California.... I can deal with earthquakes, power outages, and becoming an island, but when I got to order lunch and the person cant speak English... THAT stinks!

Next time someone call's K&N ask em about the 98-00' kit... please lol...

That would make sense, they wouldn't get nasty and scratched up like chome. It would be SUPER UBER 1337 KREW if they made a carbon fiber kit, with a carbon fiber pipe.

Alon got his and he didn't notice much of a performance difference. However he said it looked really shiney under all the mud in his engine bay.
