Starter going out?

Starter going out?
I have recently experienced hard starting. It will turn over and start, but it's a little more hesitant. Definitely noticeable. The Alternator and battery test good, actually great condition.
The starter is most likely the next culprit.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Thanks

If you have a volt meter hook it up to battery, should read 12.3-12.8volts
Unplug the coil pack's 4 wire connector, you want a "no start"
Watch the meter's voltage while someone cranks the starter for 10 seconds, let starter cool off for 2 or 3 minutes if you want to repeat test.
If voltage drops below 9.50 volts then starter motor is most likely going bad.
Most likely because it could be corroded battery cables as well, either at the battery end or at the starter/engine ends, and they can corrode internally under the insulation.
If you get some electrical tape and a razor knife, you can cut back the insulation on a cable and peel it back and off, you are looking for a whitish discoloration which means replace cable, if not found tape exposed wire back up.

It wasn’t until I cut into the cables behind the battery clamps that I found corrosion under the insulation. Once I cleaned that up, she’s been perfect.
