Stock horsepower?
I have a stock 99 ranger
4 cylinder, but I dont know the horsepower and its been nagging at me. How much does a stock 4 cylinder put out?

99 models had the 2.5 lima

they put out about 117-120hp when they were new

Im goin to get a new engine because mine has 326 k on it lol
Do I have to by a lima to turbo it or can I get a duratec?

you can put a turbo on any engine if you know what your doing

oh my bad didnt explain myself, sorry

I want to use some parts off a turbocoupe so I can get a cheap hp gain

do I have to have a lima motor for that?

yes....the duratech is a completely different motor


if it were me, i'd build a 2.5 turbo (basically a stroked 2.3)

rebuild your 2.5 with forged internals and bolt on the manifold from the turbocoupe

theres not much on here but i know TurboRangerforums.com has a TON of info

if you really want a turbo ranger, thats the place to go
