Lower intake manifold gasket replacement

Lower intake manifold gasket replacement
I've had a slow coolent leak on my 2001 ford ranger xlt 4.0 for awhile now, I was told by a shop that my lower intake manifold gasket needs to be replaced. I'm thinking I'm going to attempt to do it myself. Are there any other gaskets or anything I should consider replacing while I'm in the process of replacing the manifolds gasket?

Here is a video of removing upper and lower intakes on 4.0l SOHC engine(Explorers got these engines in 1997), so the 2000 is the same engine as your 2001.
2000 and older Rangers had the 4.0l OHV which is a completely different engine.
The Knock sensor(under intake) should be changed, hard to get to with intakes on.
Also check thermostat housing carefully and replace it's gasket, these cracked and leaked.
I would also replace thermostat while it's apart.
I haven't watched the video all the way through but comments said it was helpful
