I know about the search function but I'm not coming up with much. My girlfriends truck seems to have a blown lower intake manifold gasket. This is the second cyl 4 spark plug I need to replace and the disappearing coolant gives me that clue not to mention the random strange vacuum leaks that just seem to go away. I thought there was a write up here giving info about what it takes to do this job but I can't seem to find it any longer. By the way this problem is what killed my 2000 4.0 OHV and if I forgot to mention her truck is the same motor. I will be buying a Chilton guide but I wanted to try to get help from people with experience doing this just so I cover all my bases.
If there is already a write up about this topic that I am missing please feel free to flame me but please give the link as well. I don't have a lot of time to go through hundreds of old posts because work is demanding a lot out of me but I plan on doing this job in two weekends so any helping hand will be unbelievably appreciated, and yes I'm handy with a wrench but I don't want to get ahead of myself on this project and have to buy a new motor not to mention the $750 quote (the cheapest by the way) I am getting from local shops to do this.
