anyway to tell

if you have a faulty gas cap because i had 3/4 of a tank when i went to work then when i got home from work i had between half and 3/4 so im beggining to wonder if my gas is evaporating from somewhere because this is not the 1st time it doesnt do it all the time but it does happen i also noticed when i changed my fuel filter that there was gas dripping from one of the lines but i have checked that front back and inbetween, running and not running and it is not leaking anymore so my new suspect is the gas cap but i dont wanna replace something that doesnt need to be

depending on how u park will change it....if u park up hill it will go up and if u park down hill it will go down. also our gauges arnt exact. plus if ur cap was bad it would probably through a cel

It doesn't evaporate that fast.

If you think fuel is truly missing.

Either you have a thief or a leak.


With that drippy line I would check that out.

Best way to tell is let it idle on nice dry cement for 15 - 20 minutes and look for wet spots.

check your acutally fuel pump assembly. I had a crack in the plastic "top" piece of the assembly and fuel leaked out at about that rate. then of course when the truck was off there was no leak. can u smell gas at all when the truck is running?

i dont smell gas ever but something is going on even when i park on level surfaces it does it...is the pump assembly ontop of the tank or on the side like would i have to take the bed off to see it i never thought of checking that
