Thought I'd try this here.......got no respone in the electrical section.

Just happened tonite......several times with headlights on...

Red battery indicator light starts to flash just UNDER 4000 rpm. (goes out when RPM drops)

Slipping belt or alternator on the way out?

Any input is appreciated.

It's a pretty STOCK 03 Edge (big block stick)

 

Pop the hood and rev to 4k rpm and check the battery voltage. Do you hear any squealing or chirping sounds? Let us know what you find.
