Not sure what was wrong?

Started the truck up this morning and it started fine but was sputtering. Put it in drive and drove off and after about a block it was fine. Anyone know what could have caused this. No codes and a half tank of fuel. Radiator was recently flushed and oil changed. Noticed my belt has been squelling lately, but that was after the flush and the belt looks brand new.

A stuck or leaky injector could do that. So could a unclean MAF sensor.
otherwise.. ignition maybe?

If your plug wires are old, and they got wet during the radiator flush, this would cause your symptoms.

Plugs and wires were replaced last year. Could the squeky belt cause this?

The only way a belt could have that effect is if one of the belt driven accessories was very hard to turn. It's very unlikely.

Sounds like you need to start to see if the condition can be reporduced.

Yeah, after I leave work here tonight I'll see if it does it again. What's the best way to clean the belt off since it has some antifreeze on it and has been squelling for almost a week now?

I once used some 'belt dressing' on a vehicle of mine a looong time ago. I got it at an auto parts store. I think it was in a spray can. It worked on my vehicle then, but I didn't have antifreeze on the belt. It may or may not work.

Its not your belt....Probably a gasket leak, bad spark plug, or messed up fuel injector

Since it cleared up I'm leaning towards the gasket, intake most likely. Spark plug and injector I think the problem would be persistant.

As for the squel from the belt I'll toss on some baby powder to fix that. The belt dressing should not be used on serpentine belts.

This is one thing I pray it isn't. Although it did rain a little last night. i just replaced a cracked head about a year ago. It was under my new motor's warranty so it wasn't bad. But this time it won't be. You know how much that runs?

After sitting all day it started up fine for me, no problems, but no rain or dampness. So I'll just have to wait and see. Anyway I can tell if it's a cracked head without tearing in to it. Coolant level seems fine. I'll check again tonight.

All was fine this morning, no problems and the baby powder fixed the squeel.
Thanks all.
