Broken E-brake Cable.

Snapped my E-cable on my driver side drum.

Ordered the part from Ford should get it Tuesday.

Sucks to have no E-brake when your truck is a standard transmission..

it likes to roll away when not it gear. and i really hate adding the stress to the tranny.

That sucks, if it was me I'd take a cable crimp and crimp it on for now. But I doubt you're going to be able to find offshore fishing crimps in Utah lol.

haha well if i had both pieces of it i would be half way there.. but it like interlocks at the start and the part fell off so its just parking as flat as i can for now and using reverse to hold her.

Know someone who kept a wedge-shaped rock in the bed, and jammed it behind (or in front of) the rear wheel when parked. Still kept it in gear when parked though.

I guess you could try it - put it in gear to park it, wedge the wheel, then take it out of gear and see if it works, but I foresee a problem: if the rock/wedge gets dislodged, then the truck will be moving if it's on any kind of incline.

Had my passenger side parking cable seize about a year ago - rather it would have snapped as it cooked my rear shoes.
