replacement motor maybe?

i have a 01 4x4 xlt ranger with a 4.0, a few weeks ago the block cracked on it and i came across this expo on craiglist1999 ford explorer sport(parts) would this be a direct swap?

i would rather do a sas than a 5.0 swap if i had the money, but i don't have money for neither,to many bills i gotta pay first haha

On the expo...I think you'll be forced to used your existing intake manifold. I don't know exactly what year Ford redesigned the SOHC's intake....early Expo SOHC's had an inefficient intake design on them. It's pretty obvious what intake is on it.....the engine cover is looooong. lol. I know for sure 01+ intakes (regardless of expo or ranger) are all the same and the newer style.

haha, if my motor blows, i'll put a V8 in it, if my front end takes a dump, I'll SAS. if both happen at the same time, I'll be in a world of hurt.

it'll happen when the ranger is paid for ,devorces aint cheap when you got 2 kids that's what is taking my money right know
