exhaust cut-outs?

ok i love the way a dumped flowmaster sounds but i also want to have the look of huge exhaust tips so i was thinking of using exhaust dumps/cutouts right after the muffler. what do you think of this setup.

------Flowmaster SI/DO==(2) Exhaust cut-outs(one on each pipe)====== (2)Huge Tips

no the diagram did not work out. i tried to depict that there would be cut out on both of the two pipes(both of the cut out right after the Flo40) in a si/do set up. they will be right after the muffler on both pipes. Mainly i am asking because a search revealed nothing. It seems nobody uses anything remotely similar, so i was just curious if there was any reason for this.

I have dumps/cutouts on my '71 chevy. I have them mounted directly behind the header, then a short pipe to the mufflers, then tailpipes and 3.5" tips. I enjoy them, but really don't understand the reasoning on doing this to a ranger. You want the dumped drone in cab, but want to keep the tips? imo.....my truck sounded better from the outside w/ a tailpipe, than it does currently dumped.
