Hey friends i just did a 4.0 explorer swap into my ranger blew up 2.9 and got a steal on my Motor,Trans,dash with computer and column all have 27,000 miles. I installed and brand new 4.0 fuel pump on the 2.9 fuel pump body .... Ive spliced the wiring from the 4.0 to the 2.9 fuel pump harness and used the same color code as the 2.9 ... Would that be one way I can do this first of all or has anyone done that?seemed easy enough anyways lol if I have to I'll get a 4.0 rangers pump assembly I will but Im almost positive it's right too...... SO really I've got a crank no start.... Yes theres Power at the pump power at inertia switch all relays have power but no ground ,power at the fuses and non are blown . I' know the coil pack has power but no spark from the plugs ,I've jumped the wires at the clutch neutral safety switch. ignition has power check engine light comes on as it should I believe correct me if wrong... Tomorrow I'm gonna check power and ground at the crank sensor and injectors any suggestions thanx for any possible help until then ima keep hunting the forum thanks again Jesse

 

i do believe there should be a shrader valve somewhere on the fuel rail. try cranking it and having someone push in the valve to see if you got fuel to the rail

 

No pressure seems to build up at all from the fuel pump and no spark from the spark plug wires.... I've

 

well you obviously have multiple problems. i wouldnt be surprised if you got some of your wiring wrong

 

If the relays have no ground, you might start there

 

anyone know what the orange wire coming off the fuel pump goes too? ive assumed its a ground for the pump body .
ima take some pics for you guys and get more in depth in the morning so you guys can see exactly what im trying to achieve lol so far i appreciate the tips and suggestions thanx guys.
