Best Spark Plugs for the Money

Best Spark Plugs for the Money
I am soon going to be installing a Screamin Demon coil pack and a new set of MSD plug wires. My truck currently has a set of NGK platinum spark plugs with around 10,000 miles on them. I am thinking about replacing the plugs with better ones, since I have to take them out to regap them anyway. I do not think that it is worth it for me to spend more than $8 a plug though. I have heard good things about the Bosch Platinum 2 plugs ($4.50 a peice). I am just wondering what you guys would suggest would be the best plugs for that price range.
Also, since I am installing a new coil pack and I am going to regap my plugs to .065 I am not sure how to gap the Bosch Platinum 2's because of their design.

I would like to run Motorcraft, and I know that they are the best, but don't they sell for around $12 a piece? I do not think that it is worth it for me to spend that much for new plugs when I already have NGK's that are still good. If you can find Motorcraft platinum's for a good price than I will definitely buy them.

motorcraft for ford... ac delco for gm.. boshe is for them fancy foriegn things... NGKs are for dirtbikes, quads, 4 stroke weedeaters... you get the idea ignitions are made for a certain restance in a plug... ya alot will fit.. but the restistance can have them not workin to their potental

Heck Autozone has Motorcraft, try them.
There is also a place called FPS performance sprcialists on I 20 out of atlanta. They do alot of ford and SHO stuff. I bought Ford Morotcraft from them for my sho Double platinum for like 6 bucks a piece and the wires were about 80. From the dealer wires were 300 ish.

They might be able to get something if they dont have it already.

Spark plug threads are always fun and will never end.
IMO the best value on the market is the bosch platinum +2 plug. I've used them in many differing cars and have almost always seen a better response in low end grunt.
It is a low resistance plug with an unshrouded spark and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. IMO it's the best value on the market.
Now the best quality plug has to be the Denso IT series. I use them and only them in my 800hp Lightning. (boost + nitrous)

another name for autolite plugs is autocrap. i recently purchased some rousch performance plugs and they were autolite and started failing one by one. went back to motorcraft and no problems. stay with motorcraft and if you have the 4.0 sohc make sure they are for the sohc and NOT the ohv. motorcraft plugs can last well over 100k miles in the sohc.

the prob with motorcraft is getting a double platinum. they have changed the name so many times (from agsf32fmf as an example to sp400, sp500). I gave up on trying to find them. I went to the motorcraft distributor and they only had single platinum. I have ngk's coming in. $6.99 for double plats.
if you don't use double plats you will find the gap widening after about 60,000 miles. I stripped the threads in my 4.0 cylinder head changing plugs. it was a ***** to retap it. After that, I am not interested in regapping every 20,000 for copper plugs or 50,000 for single plats. I want to extend that interval as long as possible since i put so many miles on it.
as someone stated, spark plugs and oil will give a myriad of testamonials, good and bad. every one has different personal experiences with the same exact product.
