Xcal 3, basically the same as the 2 with a few new features.

I recommend James Henson - Henson Performance
He did a great job with my sport trac and was quick. I used an XCal 2.

I just picked up a Superchips Flashpaq from my local 4 Wheel Parts and am AMAZED with the results. The power seems to be better through the entire power band, and the transmission shifts way smoother (yes, it's an auto). I can't believe I didn't do it sooner. Everyone on this forum seems to like the Xcal2 or 3, but if you're looking for a little variety, keep this one in mind...

I recommend the Xcal 2. Not sure spening the extra money ($100 +) for a few more features is worth it to some people.

I recommend LaSota Racing. I had my tune within an hour of ordering it.

That just has canned tunes though? You'll get much better results out of custom tunes to your truck and the modifications you've done specifically.

So, I get the XCal3 or 2 whichever now, do I need to order a custom tune as well?

It costs $50 for one tune at Henson Performance. A three tune pack costs $140.

I paid 30 a tune from Power Hungry Performance. I think Troyer is the same price if you buy the tuner from them.

Well I finally decided to just send my old SCT XCal2 back to SCT to get unlocked. Much cheaper than buying a new one. Now I just need to figure out if I want to get my new tune from brenspeed (they did my old tunes for the stang) or go with someone else.

Shew! Finally got my tuner back UNLOCKED from SCT. Now to get my custom tune ordered.....WHO to go with. Brenspeed will do it for $75, and I've used em before. Trent, was yours a custom tune for $30? For that I could get (2) tunes!
