Very Important! well to me lol
I need to know if i can either use some parts off an sohc to rebuild me ohv or if it will easily bolt up to my mounts and tranny. i have 206k on my ohv and i got a wrecked 2000 xlt with 4.0 ohv for free, and it only has 63k. any help, suggestions, or advice will be great. thanks

Well the 2000 has the same OHV engine as your 94. There may be different sensors between the two trucks since the 2000 has OBD2 and your truck is OBD1. Not sure if the 94 has a distributor but the 00 has a coil pack. Also I'm not sure if the 94 has v belts or a serpentine belt system. I'm sure if you just switch everything over from your 94 engine to the 00 engine it will work.
The SOHC engines didn't find their way into Rangers until 2001.

I'd just swap long blocks. Take the long block(block and heads) from the 2000, and swap it into your '94. block and heads are the same, I believe. Then use your existing top end and sensors and electrical. Shouldn't have any OBDI/II issues that way. I plan on doing the same to my 2001 but using a '06+ block and heads.
What everyone else said, BOTH engines are OHV's, No parts from an SOHC will fit the OHV. Maybe sensors, but thats it.
