tune up

i plan to do a tune up. what do u guys recommend for plugs, plug wires, etc. and is possible prices. thx

Autolite plugs and wires work. NGK is also good or you can stick with Motorcraft.

Avoid boche like the plague. Don't ever even think about it.

Looks like your stock.. motorcraft is a good way to go in that case.

If you were into making more power and racing I'd have other suggestions.

either way i would stick with the motorcraft plug

splifires are good http://www.splitfire.com/ make pretty good power 1-2 hp for just the plugs

I'm thinking of doing Denso Iridiums with Underdog 8mm wires and a Screamin Demoncoil pack, To have a better ignition set up for more power.

Sorry.. I did *NOT* mean to imply that you'd increase power over stock with just a tune up.

I meant.. if your making more power than stock.. I'd choose different parts for the tune up.

IMO if your running a stock engine and a stock tune. The motorcraft parts are a good value.


If your spraying or boosting it.. thats a different story.

As far as aftermarket plugs go.. that seems to be a hotly debated subject around here. Personally I use denso IT20 plugs yr round. But.. that's too support the 75shot of nitrous I use.
