Flowmaster 40 out the rear, I had a vortex muffler before the flowmaster tho and I'd prefer the flowmaster sound. But they are both very similar.

I have Side Swept/ Lightening style exhaust. Two tips coming out in front of the right rear tire. They are least likely to get messed up there. I have a Borla muffler single in/ dual out. I love it. I did have two pipes coming straight out the back with my other muffler, but smashed the tips while off-roading.

I think it sounds like crap. Also why lose power?

Congrats on the compliments.

Gibson Extreme Dual Exhaust. Best exhaust for a ranger i think:

It sounds 10 times better in person. Its got alot of pop and sound awesome on the go.

dumping just in front of the rear tires....

A pipe is hollow. No real resistance. Maybe if you went smaller pipe then it would cause more back pressure but taking away the cats is taking away a lot of backpressure. The only way that stock sized piping would cause the same backpressure as the cats is if you extended it about 10 ft behind the truck. Now if you had a head work and a cam then you would really benefit from straight pipes.

If you didn't dyno it you don't know. When I took off my exhaust I though my truck was so much faster. Then I put the muffler back on because it was annoying and then I really felt what power I had lost.

You lose power that way too. There are some people out there that think by putting headers and a flow through muffler on a 4.0 will cause a power loss because it flows too much. Its simple. No backpressure means no exhaust scavenging which in turn means less power low end power on a stock motor.
