4x4 problems 4.0 sohc

Hey guys I am having an issue with the 4wd on my 2001 ford ranger 4.0 SOHC 5 speed manual.
First off it engages in 4 high but when I switch it to 4 low nothing. And I am at a complete stop, clutch and brake pressed down trans in neutral and still nothing.
Now I have taken the motor off the transfer case and tested it, it engages in 4 high but no 4 low, I have checked all fuses and relays, all good.
I replaced the motor, nothing
I replaced the 4WD control module, nothing
I replaced the switch on the dash and still nothing
Any help is appreciated Thanks

the transfer case front driveshaft is engaged by slip collar inside the transfer case

there is probable debris jamming the slip collar , and preventing it from engaging fully

have you had the transfer case fluid replaced , it is probably best that you replace the fluid soon

try draining some fluid and topping up the case up with seafoam and drive it a short distance to agitate the debris loose , then on a dirt or parking lot

this time try activating the parking brake , left foot NOT on clutch , right foot on brake pedal

and slowly switch between modes to see if the seafoam treatment worked , if it did

drain the used ATF fluid and replace it with fresh ATF fluid

i had that problem last winter , i added 2 ounces of duralube to the ATF fluid and the transfer case shifts smooth as butter now NO ISSUES

the dash light will not illuminate until the transfer case is fully engaged in 4 wheel low
