Temp gauge problem

Alright, in my 1994 STX, I have a Temperature gauge,or radiator problem...

I was out on a delivery last night, it was my 4th of the night, and when I gout out I noticed a Hiss-pop-pop-hiss-hiss noise from my radiator, like a bug getting fried, and I kneeled down to look at it. As I was about to go back and pop the hood, it stopped. So I took the pizzas to the house, and when I got back in I was putting th emoney in the bag, and happened to look at the temp gauge. It was about 1/16th of an inch from H...

All the way back to the shop it danced around (not light speed, but it moved slowly) in the NORMAL "zone" occasionally touching the C and the H.

I think my sensor is bad, what do you all think? Yes I stopped driving it when I got to the shop and took my grandmother's car.

first you should check the fluid level in the radiator. i had similar problems and it was from a small leak, and the temp would only bounce around when the fluid got low enough.
