Hydrolocked my truck. please help.
hit a puddle TOO hard ... i cant believe i was dumb enough to hit it that hard ... truck shut down immediately. it has happened before, but, not this bad.
i got pulled out and we popped the hood. airbox was full. checked my oil ... no water. so we started pullin plugs... on the right side, all 3 were wet. on the left side, the back two were wet and the front was dry. cranked the engine a couple times, water poured out of the pistons. got everything dried off and put the plugs / wires back on (6 hours later)
started up the truck, it was running sh**** (as expected). got it on the road, and it was a very bumpy, rough ride. I think only 5 of my pistons are firing. Also, I don't have an air filter in. I'm buying one tomorrow. the wire on the left front plug seems to be the problem. I think we broke off the clip that holds it on... the wire will not stay on the plug, so I'm pretty sure that's why it's running like crap.
Any suggestions? My plan for tomorrow - new plugs, new wires, new air filter, and an oil change.
Anything else I should do?
Thanks.

I installed a snorkel shortly after l2en hit that puddle above. Watching him do that scared the hell out of me especially since I was only 2 trucks behind him and I was planning on going through it.

Calling your insurance company if they will cover it can be a good thing. It worked for Travis he was honest with them and told them what he did.

I had to go look it up because I thought Travis was more of an honest guy than someone to claim a fraudulent claim.

he didn't do anythign illegal.....hell if they want to pay for the repairs, then great for him.....my insurance would laugh at me (state farm), and i would expect them to, but good for him!

Man, I'm gone for a week and ppl are fighting about me. haha.
The area that we were in had alot of the roads named, state roads. Either way it was covered under comprehensive. I honestly didn't expect them to pay for it but figured it was worth a shot considering how bad they burned me on my last truck*no pun intended*
It never hurts to ask.
