I want some more horsepower for my 94' 4.0.

Hi everyone im new here and was wanting to get some help or hints. I have a 94' ranger with a 4.0 5speed and was wanting little bit more power. I just wanna know some bolt-ons to get a little more horses on a budget. If anybody knows any secrets for more horsepower or where I can get good deals would you please help me?

Installing an Electric Fan out of a Taurus will free up some HP. And its def. a budget mod if you know what your doing. There's lots of threads on it.

tuner. although that's not a low budget item but its one of the few options we do have. Also underdrive pulleys I guess. But for the ultimate bang for your buck, try the throttle cable mod. Costs as much as a bag of zip ties. lol

The throttle cable mod is when you take the throttle cable where it attaches to the gas pedal and you decrease the slack by adding zip ties to the cable.

All it does is increases the throttle response because you're not pushing through any slack.

I'm pretty sure there is pics of someone showing this.

Found it https://www.ranger-forums.com/f33/th...ack-fix-26881/
