Custom Exhaust?

Hey everyone, I have a quick question...

I have an '01 4.0 with a solid axle.

Is there a way I can make some custom headers that go on the outside of the frame & go down into something like this on both sides?

i am sure you could.......might be pricey though with all the steel tubing.....and it will rust unless you get it coated in something....or use stainless...

You can get collectors with mufflers already in them, but everything would have to be custom for the ranger.

Hopefully you mean a collector for a V6 and not that one that will be used for a V8 or I4. You would have to bend your own pipes from the head and have them come together in a collector that has 3 inlets, not 4 like the one shown. Most muscle cars will run their headers into collectors like that and just leave it open for raw horsepower. However, your truck isn't tuned to make the horsepower gains, it would just be loud and nasty sounding.
