Mileage Crapper

Well over the summer I averaged 14.5 mpg. Within the past moth my milage has dropped to 13.5 mpg, I had 230 miles on E. I then switched to moble 1 synthetic and a new fuel filter hoping to maybe obtain 15 mpg but by the looks of it I won't even see 230 miles but more like 215 miles on E but this is taking it super easy on the gas, I never exceed 2000rpm and try to cruise at 45 mph@1500rpm on the local streets. Now I am not expecting super milage because I drive 90-95% city but there is no way I could see 14.5 mpg right now. I will see my real milage when I get gas tomorrow but I have chaged the 02 sensors and spark plugs, what else shouls I look for?

I'm starting to think your odometer is off or incorrect. I've never seen anyone butcher the mileage on an OHV that bad before.

I thought that to but I followed my dad home from the gas station and we both had 19.6 miles on the odometer. It is a an automatic 4x4 and like I said I drive 90% city, so I don't expect too much. I do think I deserved at least 15mpg this last time though.

Oh I did get gas today and I averaged 13.12 mpg. I sprayed my MAF with some cleaner but it looked clean in the first place.

I know its not tire pressure, sparkplugs or airfilter. My engine is running at normal temp, vacuum seems fine, I will check the brakes again though. Could it be plug wires or the coil pack?
But between the winter fuel and the remote starter I averaged 12.5 mpg last year so I am really not going to try this winter.

Not if its running good. A weak spark is still a spark. You'd notice a loss in power or a misfire if it were one of those.

How cold are the temps when your driving? I notice a decent drop once they get below 50F here. I also notice when they switch to winter gas.

According to my scanguage this tank I'm only at 18.2 (norm = 20-21) It's been much colder and they have switched to winter gas round here.
