hey guys what do u think would be better and louder...magnaflow muffler or a cherry bomb glasspack

 

I have the magnaflow. IMO it's better and will last longer.

i vote hell no to a glasspack. I was considering doing a Cherry Bomb Extreme AND a Glasspack to see how it was since nobody has done that to a ranger as far as I know...but went against it.

I love the way my Flowmaster Super 44 sounds. Deep, powerful, loud....just how i like it. I had a magnaflow on mine for a short period of time....not loud enough for me.

 

Well Flowmaster is louder and Magnaflow Performs better..

 

think there is someone on here who did a cherry bomb on his truck- dont remember who tho. my v6 mustang had flowmaster 44s and they sounded great. my 5.4l had magnaflows and it sound even better, but thats probably due to the v8 hehe. i heard that borla sounds the best on a ranger, but if you have to pick between those two id go with magnaflow

 

Wait a minute...what engine? 4.0L OHV or 4.0L SOHC?? What year truck??

My votes are as follows for loudness/good soundingness:

OHV : Flowmaster Delta Flow 40
SOHC : Flowmaster Super 44

 

i have the magnaflow and i love it just the right sound i wanted

 

Ive got a flowsound (flowmaster knockoff) muffer on my 4.0 OHV and its sounds great! was only 100$ installed...

 

each and every flowmaster i heard on a 4.SOHC of 4.OHV had a mean idle but absolutly sounded like **** being wound up. it had this tinny, almost weed wacker sound. flowmaster 40, 44, super 44, big shiney piece of **** 44 or whatever they call em now, all sounded the same...like crap. and the best thing is...the uber peformance gain from a baffled muffler! woot for restriction!

 

I did the Gibson duals just to give it some tone. It's only a six cyl. How good can you really expect it to sound?

 

I did a dual glass pack system, sounds actually really decent and has a nice rumble at idle.. but now after hearin a flowmaster on my friends truck, i am going to switch over to flowmaster next summer.. but i do like what i have in the mean time!
