Was looking aroudn for a heavy duty alternator.. and found this one:

http://www.motorcityreman.com/92ra2.html

Free shipping, NEW, not refurbished.. not a bad price at all!

For those of you running lots of lights, big sound systems, or winching and needing less drag on the battery - this is what you need!

You can also use the 130 amp alternator from an explorer and get it at you local autoparts store (napa or oreilly's).

What years of explorer would you have to order to get a 130 amp at a napa store?

Will i need a new belt with a 130 A or is the wheel the same size

The pulley is exactly the same. The alternator is physically larger but not a problem to fit.

As for the year 97+ but must have the SOHC engine as I think the OHV alternator is a little different.
