everyone says i srewed my performance but it is fine and i have talk to a few local mechanics that say it wouldn't affect my truck. there are certain computer systems it hurts, but not mine. nothing happen to my sesors. all i did was pound out the inside of the cats and then put the sensors back where they go.

back pressure = evil. u need exhaust gas volecity to properly assist in cylinder scavanging. opening up an exhaust so there minimal restriction wont hurt anything, increasing the pipe diameter to a size to large will.
gutting the catalyics is silly. modern cats are a very good flowing design. ur fuel trim is based off what the o2 sensors read. on obd-2 vehicles there is an upstream (before the cat(s)) and a downstream (aft the cat(s)). the pcm reads how well the engine burned the A/F mixture and then how well the cat works.
and i havent heard of anyone burning up an exhaust valve unless they were running like 6 inches of pipe off the manifold...heh. like my friend did in his 83 f150...
if ur looking to get rid of an emmisions device that is evil, id remove the smog pump and EGR. those bastards are bad, especially on older trucks.
