Hello. I am installing a new aftermarket timing chain kit and it came with a gasket for between the tensioner and the block. There was no gasket there when the old one was removed and no parts illustration or manual says anything about installing it. Should i leave it out? Thanks.

 

I'd say check with the aftermarket company to see why they included one. They may have a reason for one.
