white smoke on cold start

I just Replaced my head gasket and all the other gaskets in my 94 4.0L. I have put 1000miles on it now and i still get a small puff of white smoke on a cold start. When i changed the oil again after 500miles the oil looked just fine ( not milky). On cold days even after the truck is warmed up i still see some white smoke out the tail pipe. Any ideas why???

If it's minor I wouldn't worry about it. You might have a small leak from when you changed the gaskets where coolant is getting through.

Are you losing coolant? What did u replace the head gasket for? Was it blown?

If you aren't losing coolant and you replaced the head gasket bc its blown there could still be moisture in your engine.

If you think you are loosing coolant you could sniff your overflow reservoir to see if it smells like exhaust, though that will only tell you if its leaking on the exhaust side of the engine not the intake.

If your not losing coolant its probably just moisture and nothing to worry about.
