any noticeable difference with screaming demon coil? never tried opening gap yet- heard somewhere that opening spark plug gaps is not recommended... this the last mod to my motor willing to try- was thinking of a tuner but my last experience with one is reason why not going that route

If you can get it to burn cleaner you'd be better off. Anyone noticing any difference with a different coil pack?

Bigger, faster, and cleaner spark will increase engine power (in theory). However I have no experience in this area since I still have the stock coil pack, but I would def love to hear from somebody that does have the screamin demon or accel and see if they have any kind of performance gains or even gas mileage?

I'm pretty sure if you just do coil you wont see much. I'd do coil, plugs(Iridiums) and wires(8mm). If anybody has experience with a SD on a SOHC, Id like to hear the info.

Haha yeah no joke lol. Even if it is just a mile better. 14.5 to 15.5MPG can put stress on my income.

I might have had a 1/2 mpg increase but It started missing again so I am buying new wires and reducing the spark plug gap to 0.060"

It ran so smoothly when I first installed it but I think it fried the stock motorcraft wires.
