Need Help with the engine control module location!

I have a 1993 ford ranger 4.0and was wondering where a few things were located?#1. is the spark control module the same as the ignition control module? if not where are each located ?

#2.Where would my Engine control module (computer)be located?
#3. Where is my voltage regulator located?
#4. Is the PCM the same as the ignition module?
If you are wondering why the questions i am having problems with my coil pack getting to much voltage cause it was smoking!! I read in a book that after you unplug the ECC or PCM that the truck would run roughly after it has been unplugged what do they mean by roughly ? Will it run like it is missing ? Please help me ! Don't know much about electric stuff on my truck. And no i can not get any codes off it cause the truck is not driveable or crankable at the moment. Any help will be much appreciated!!!!!!!!!
