New Performance Products For the OHV.

http://www.moranav6racing.com/catego...?CategoryID=32

I have Great news. I got off the phone with Tom of Morana racing about an hour ago. I was inquiring about the 4.5L stroker kit. The bad news is they no longer make a 4.5L kit. He had problems with durablity, so he made it a 4.3L stroker instead and fixed that problem. He also has S/C kits coming out.

The first one to come out will be in about 2 weeks. it will be for the Eaton M112 Charger. This is the charger that comes on the Cobras and Lightning. To run this you will need to upgrade your pistons and rods. The other kit that will be coming out is one for the Eaton M90 off of the older Supercoupes.

With the M112 he said with the upgraded pistons and rods the engine will be able to handle 15-20 psi. Which should equate to a huge gain in power.

with the mustang having the sohc, it would seem that the focus would move to that motor.

his website wont be updated for another couple weeks, but the 4.3L kit is around 2300 CND and the S/C kit is supposivly around 600 or so. Im not sure whats included in the "kit" I know for sure the new upper intake for the S/C to mount to is but Im not sure what will have to be sourced other then the S/C its self.

Tom actually recommended the M112 over the stroker.

that is his super charger kit isn't it?

hmmm maybe a stock (well a cam, port polish heads/intake, and a new pistons/etc) and a super charger.....man with 4.56's and a manual tranny, that would be bad ***....

The M112 is the big charger, bigger then the M90 from the supercoupe that most guys use. but it needs new pistons and rods to run it as it will make some BIG power. the 4.3L is good for about 50 more HP then stock.

the good thing about the OHV is the power band is lower than the SOHC.....you dont have to make the RPM to make the power with the OHV....

Dont think that the'll stop making things for something? Try to find a new GT-40 intake for a 5.0 mustang. And that part was a ford part. There will come a time that there will be none. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, maybe not even soon, but eventualy. Thats life.
