90 Ranger 4.0L into an 87 Ranger
So I got given two complete 4.0L engines, one assembled and one dismantled. The assembled engine was losing water due to a cracked head. Long story short, I'm just getting ready to reassemble the engine and drop it into my 87 Ranger which currently has the 2.9L V6 in it.
Does anyone know if the transmission from the 2.9L will bolt up to the 4.0L?
Are the clutch and flywheel the same?
