DYNOMAX or GIBSON

i was looking at cheaper catbacks- i wasant considering a gibson until i ran into a sale. The dynomax is 200 and the gibson is 268- the gibson is full stainless and the dyno isnt. Is the gibson the obvious choice?

gibson hands down. $68 more for full stainless is already worth it.

They must have figured out that they had made a mistake in the pricing. I ordered one of them and got it two days ago, just went back to check and the price is now at $422. Anyway it was at Drivewire.com. #G27619714.

I'd entertain the idea of selling my system if anyone is interested. It is a little loud for me. I really just wanted something quiet, but couldn't pass up the price of the stainless system and also like the idea of increasing the pipe size from stock to 2 1/2 inches. It's a nice kit, but I'm 40 and really don't like the vroom vroom. Call me old, I guess.

After having the Dynomax system on my truck for about two years I was happy to get rid of it. The pipes were fine but the muffler had rusted and cracked open. Now granted I live in the north where salt is used religiously on the roads, but still. Stainless steel with the Gibson kit is the way to go, even if it is more expensive.

Gibson Stainless Muffler

Well, I took it off. So...if anyone wants it, it is for sale. Just the muffler. Gibson superflow stainless muffler, 2 1/2" in and out. I had it on for roughly a week. It came with kit# 619714. $100 + shipping

IMHO.. the S/S is hard to beat but the DynoMax is better sounding muffler, not too loud until you get in it.
