what the fack!

ok, so i got my new starter today, put it on and go to crank it over and the same damn situation...one loud *** click! the old starter was shot for sure, but this is redonkulous. We pulled the belt off and everything wasn't seized, my buddy checked from underneath the truck and said he got the crank to spin. But seriously, this is getting annoying. I have an Optima Red Top in there and it still isn't doing anything.

any ideas from here guys?

a starter for a manual is different than a starter for an automatic. For starters (pun intended), make sure you have the correct one

Battery dead? Either your not getting current to the starter, or it's not grounded. Check all relays and solenoids too.

alright, well, I made damn sure to specify that they sent me a manual trans starter, but today we dug a lil deeping into it. Turned out that the ground on the solenoid broke itself somehow. So, with a little super glue it's all workin fine, and about time too! It was blowing white smoke for the whole few minutes it was running. We couldn't let it run too long because theres a nasty hole in the fuel line so gas was just pouring down from the tank.

SO thats the next thing. Is there just one line comming from the gas tank? and what size torx bit do i need to rip off the box?

Thanks a ton for everybodies help!
