True Dual Exhaust, your opinion....

So the plan is right now is to go with true dual exhaust. I would do this from header back into 1 muffler (magnaflow DI/DO) which has an X pipe in the muffler to help performance. Also I would have the exhuast exit out before the rear tire at an angle. I would be cutting off the DI/SO cat as it has no O2 sensor after it and replacing it with 2 pipes. I would stick with 2.25" pipe to keep backpressure and hopefully help performance.

I was wondering on what your guys's opinion on this is and whether it would actually help performance over stock. Also would it sound ok being that its only a v6? Anyone have sound clips? Also would an 11" muffler be ungodly loud? would a 14" be better? I want it loud but not super cant hear the radio on full blast loud.

Hey man, I did this to my 3.0, but mine was blown so it made it sound like a v-8 in the sucker and didn't really do anything as far as lost of power! Had a really nice rumble to it! But either way, you will lose some performance based on what you want to do..As soon as I took my SC off, man, I will tell you now, totally different world! You will have to get an KnockOff O2 sensor to give the computer false readings on A/F ratio to keep it from giving you CEL light all the time! Not quite sure where you live, but make sure you can hack the Cats off before you do so! B/c you won't have any if you do DI/DO b/c of the lack of room to do so!

Don't get me wrong, but it sounds great, just don't know about the performance wise for it! If you plan on addin a SC, great then go for it, but I wouldn't suggest doing it if you haven't done anything under the hood! My guess would be you would lose high end power b/c of it!

You plan on running the supercharger in the near future right? Or am i thinking of someone elese..

But if you are going with this setup you just asked about, it sounds like you've got everything in order. I would DEFENITLY go with the 14" muffer, its going to be pretty loud so the bigger the muffer the better; as it will give you a bit more back pressure and it wont be as annoying loud as a 11" muffler.

you need to run some type of Cat on it. performance will suck other wise.

why true duals? whats it do for you?

i think you would get great performance if yo utake the headers and collect them then run into a high performance CAT from magnaflow then into a borla or magnaflow muffler and then out to where ever you want.

if you are getting supercharged soon, dont do the exhaust untill it is on. a 2.5" or 3" SI/SO muffler would be more than enough.

I guess I might just stick to single in single out with 2.5" pipes. I really liked the idea of Dual exhuast because if I got it I wouldnt have to worry bout it once I do get a S/C but that is a ways from now. Maybe just a borla muffler then. Im just really looking for max performance.
