Super Charger anyone

Im a 3.slow guy and came across a supercharger kit for you 4.0 guys.....


4.0 supercharger

that is for the 4.0 OHV.......and for a used one that has been "raced all the time", $1200 is kinda steep....

For the price that thing went for i'd rather bought a reman eaton supercharger and the install kit.

for an ENTIRE used supercharger kit for a OHV, that is a fair price, specially since its a Roots blower.

but that doesn't look like an entire kit, most is there, but some other items will be needed too.

Sold for 2k. Hypothetically couldn't you swap a 5.0 for that price and have a more reliable motor with just as much power.

Well do you think for 2K you could have a setup that would put out more than that supercharger?

I only meant more reliable because with something like that you are pushing that motor to its limits. I would think you could set up a 5.0 to be equal to a blown 4.0 without pushing it so far that you would risk blowing it up.


Of course I am looking at this from the 4x4 perspective and not the track/racing perspective.
